Kansas City, Missouri

The second half of the trip started with a two day journey from Cascade to Kansas City in 95 degree heat. Luckily the part we waited for in Wisconsin was worth it and the AC kept up with it all the way.  It was a really nice visit with the added bonus of having Julie and Travis coming to town.

We had some great eating highlighted with steaks from McGonigle's market and pretzel wrapped brats from the Pretzel Boys.

A fun game of Cards Against Humanity with Ann, Julie, Joe and not shown is Travis, Barbara and Ed.

Barbara did an amazing job on the Bar-B-Que steaks and chicken. 

Batman Returns to Kansas City thanks to Joe's Playstation VR

Ethans Mom and Dad have a vintage Corvette but he was taking everyone on a tour of "the best car ever". Part of his tour included modeling the cheese head hat, much to the chagrin of the tour group.

Laura brought Nora over for a sleepover on Monday night but she changed her mind, even after putting on her PJs. 

We're so glad she changed her mind and did the sleepover on Thursday night. Emma was pretty unhappy that she couldn't join the slumber party. Swim practice and theater(?) camp got in the way.

Grandma Gorgeous presiding over her clan. We had a wonderful visit talking about family and Carin's trip to France this summer.
