We're settled in for the night in Kearny, Nebraska on the cusp of the mountainous part of our journey. We had another great visit our family, this time with Steve and Marge. It was fun to see their beautiful home and hang out with them and their three wonderful grandsons who were also spending the night.

This is sunset from their deck. The trees on top have green leaves, but were bathed in golden sunset light.

We're really enjoying our friends and family tour. Just sayin, in case you can't tell.

Grampy and the boys having batting practice in anticipation of the big game today. We really enjoyed spending time with Jack, Teddy and Oliver. They are super sweet boys. They were having a pretty good time too.

Saturday morning sugar injection and story time before heading off to the game.
Marge thinks Steve spoiles the kids by bringing them donuts, but it's a healthy meal because we added fruit. Works for me!
It was my first visit to a Krispy Kreme factory. They hand you a fresh glazed donut, plucked right off the automated line, when you walk in the door.
Pretty darn good! It changed my opinion of their donuts completely.

After breakfast we wished the boys success on their game and said our goodbyes. We headed west to Lincoln, where we had brunch with Jeff, our dive buddy from Hawaii.
Cracker Barrel was a good choice to meet. It's amazing how fast three hours flew by, but they just kept filing our coffee and tea cups.

We were thinking this would make a good tow vehicle for the RV.
